Please note: Our itinerary is flexible and may adapt to factors like weather, group preferences, trail closures, and other considerations to ensure the best photographic opportunities.together and capture amazing photos. Additionally, we have outlined below the areas and locations we plan to visit each day, so you can have a better idea of the route and activities planned, but please note that these are subject to change.
We'll meet at Pelican Brewery (1371 S Hemlock St, Cannon Beach, OR 97110) at 4 PM for a welcome dinner (my treat) Post-dinner, we'll head to Cannon Beach for a sunset shoot, and if conditions allow, a night session capturing the Milky Way.
An early start at Ecola State Park for sunrise photography at 5:45 AM, followed by breakfast. We'll then explore Elk Flat Trail's stunning cliff and ocean views. Our journey along coastal route 101 includes various scenic stops, aiming to reach Cape Kiwanda for sunset and, weather permitting, another chance at Milky Way photography.
Days 3 & 4: Heading to Yachats, OR, we'll capture the awe-inspiring Thor's Well and enjoy whale watching at Depot Bay. These days also include visits to Cape Perpetua, Heceta, and Yaquina Lighthouses, and other picturesque landscapes, concluding at Bandon Beach.
Day 5: Our adventure takes us further south into the enchanting landscapes of Southern Oregon. Time permitting, we might extend our journey into Northern California to explore the majestic Redwoods. The day's highlight will be a golden hour photo session at Secret Beach, capturing its stunning vistas as the day transitions into evening. This day promises a blend of awe-inspiring scenery and the chance to photograph some of the Pacific Coast's most iconic natural wonders.
Day 6 Half Day : We can wake up early and venture 1 hour down to the Redwoods in California. After the Redwoods we can head back and eat some food. We can do more image critiques after we get some food in us. After that, this is where we will say our good byes and make our way back up the coast towards the airports. We will be making our way to Eugene Airport. If you are heading that way too, we may stop and shoot some waterfalls if you want to join.
*During the midday lull hours, we will take a break to recharge our energy, share images, participate in photo critiques, and plan our evening adventures.

During the workshop, we will be exploring several scenic locations, typically involving 2-5 miles of walking per day. Although we won't be doing any long or strenuous hikes, it's important to note that some locations may have sandy, uneven, or slippery terrain.
We will be starting our days before sunrise and wrapping up after sunset to capture the best light. To fully enjoy the workshop, we recommend maintaining good energy levels throughout the day. If any location feels out of your comfort zone, you're more than welcome to opt for an alternative shooting location or take a break at the hotel. We'll do our best to group photographers with similar physical abilities together to ensure everyone has a positive experience.
