What's up, I'm David Shockey, a self-taught photographer whose journey behind the lens truly began in 2012, following the rescue of our dog. This pivotal moment not only ignited my passion for photography but also set me on a path of discovery, awards, and publications. Initially, my focus was on wedding photography, family, and headshots, capturing countless special moments until a new chapter in my life prompted a brief hiatus – the arrival of our little one.

In addition to my photography, I co-own Capture On Labs, a professional print lab based in Willoughby, OH. Over time, my passion for travel photography grew, leading me to explore the world chasing that next shot.

Now, I'm back to shooting weddings, with a renewed focus and a clear vision: to capture the essence of non-traditional weddings. I dream of weddings that defy convention, blending love with the beauty of the outdoors and the thrill of travel. It's not just about capturing moments; it's about creating experiences that resonate and last a lifetime.

I'm also excited to teach travel photography workshops. These workshops are designed for those eager to dive deep into the art of photography, explore new destinations, and capture the world's beauty alongside fellow enthusiasts.of our subjects.
